I like creating new things with things I have around the house. I’m sure you have seen those beautiful, expensive photo canvases. I decided to make a simple canvas scrapbook page using a few simple items. Sometimes I don’t want to hide my favorite photos in a book.
The things you will need are:
a canvas, any size
acrylic paints
scrapbook paper
photos
Modge Podge
clear craft glue
embellishments
1.All I did was paint the canvas in one of my favorite colors.
2. I then glued scrapbook paper on the canvas (after the paint dried) using Modge Podge. I coated the back and then put one layer on top of the paper.
3 After the glue dried I played around with my photos to see how I wanted to arrange them.
4.Next I glued the pictures onto the canvas using a clear craft glue.
5. Lastly I embellished the top with some pretty cardboard letters I had, and spelled out family.
This is really an individualized project. The sky’s the limit. Have fun creating!

Well that’s a good idea! Definitely one of a kind. Here from the weekend showcase and look forward to more cuties from ya. BB2U
Thanks Bohemian Babushka!
That’s adorable! I’m not only technologically challenged but creatively challenged also! I found you at the Weekend Showcase. I’m following on GFC!
I feel like I am craft challenged at times. I make sure I pick easy ones. I also like to make crafts that are very individualized, and you can’t make a mistake! I am definitely technologically challenged!
Love it. I bet it makes for an interesting texture, too. I love mixing it up creatively!
Visiting from SITSsharefest!
cute idea! Visiting from the SITS Sharefest too…I’m a huge scrapbooker. Never thought of this technique before though, thanks for sharing 🙂
Very creative! And fun! I love it.
What a great way to get your best scrapbook pages out on display instead of hidden in a book! Did you mount the canvas on anything or stretch it around a frame?
I just bought the canvas at Joann’s and used it as it was.
That’s very cute and creative!
Great project for a kid to use to decorate her or his room.
I have to look at more ways to be artistic in my RV 5th wheel camper home. Limited space limits my imagination at times. Great idea, if I had wall space to do so.
I should print photos more. Since going to digital I hardly ever do. Thanks for sharing @ DearCreatives.com weekly link up & hope to see you again soon! PS. hope your having a great week!
