Washi tape has sparked my curiosity lately. I love the fact that you can brighten up objects that you may already have lying around the house. You may be wondering what washi tape is. It is a high quality masking tape made out of rice paper. It originates from Japan. I love all the colors and designs that are available. Many stores carry them such as Micheal’s, Joann Fabrics, and even Staples. I had all of these items at home already. I only had to pay for the tape, and I used a Michaels’s coupon!
I used washi tape and narrow electrical tape that is sold in many craft stores. This was a can of peaches that I washed. I love how the ridges on the can showed through. I just wish that the ridges would of gone all the way down the can.
This metal box came with a watch in it. I used this chevron washi tape and thin electrical tape to decorate the box.
I wanted something to store my meds while I travel. I had several empty medicine bottles that had no use. I think it looks so much nicer decorated. If you used a bigger medicine bottle to store q-tips. |
How many of you use easy washi tape ? I would love to hear about your projects!

I am a complete washi tape fan although I don’t own too many rolls – trying to manage potential addiction! 🙂 Visiting you via ‘madamedeals fridayfavorites’ linkup

This is awesome. I actually just made containers for my plastic bags/bread bags. I might be upgrading to washi tape. This is great. I’m glad I found this at #throwbackthursday.
