Today is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day! The National Fibromyalgia Association is a great resource for information. They have doctor’s reviews and a magazine that is all about fibromyalgia. I have found it very useful. In honor of Fibromyalgia Awareness Day I’m going to share with you some of my previous posts on chronic illness. You can read about my journey with fibromyalgia here. I have been living with it for almost twenty-five years. It’s hard to believe.
My most popular post is the Top Ten Helpful Apps for People with Chronic Illness. Last year I wrote a post on what it’s like living with fibromyalgia on a daily basis. It was for Invisible Illness Week started by Lisa Copen of Rest Ministries. I enjoyed reading about others journeys as well. Many of us feel invisible and isolated when dealing with a chronic illness. It has been something I have struggled with for many years. I have tried to find ways to remedy this and do things with others that are still within my limitations. I came up with six ways to help you stay connected.
I have done a few interviews with people living with fibromyalgia. You can check them out here and here. I have really enjoyed learning about other mothers managing their symptoms. I have also learned many things about people from books. Here is my list of go to books. And lastly if you want to learn more about me you can visit my post on 30 Things about My Illness You Might Not Know.
I hope you are celebrating your courage and strength on Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. You are not invisible and you are not alone!

Funny thing – I post all month about fibromyalgia Awareness Day, but on the actual day I rested this year. I was so exhausted from the previous month’s activities of preparing, that I couldn’t help but just rest.

I noticed that some people were calling it Fibromyalgia Awareness month. I guess next year I’ll have to post more on it during the whole month. I hope you got the rest you needed!
