I have been thinking a lot lately about all the people who have contributed to my life in some way or who have given me good service or a kind smile.
There are many authors who I have gained inspiration from or helpful information. Recently I decided to contact an author by e-mail and tell her how much her books meant to me. She responded too! I’ll also make sure that if I have exceptional service I say something. My daughter had an appointment with a new doctor and I was really impressed with how he explained things in a language we both understood. He was also very kind and patient. I made sure I sent an e-mail saying how pleased I was.
Who have you thanked today? Look around you. There are so many people that contribute to our daily lives. There are authors, waiters, bank tellers, cable guys, friends, family members, etc. Make sure to appreciate the people around you and thank someone today!

What a great reminder. I rarely go the extra mile to send a follow-up note to those who are extraordinarily kind. Thanks.

An attitude of gratitude goes a long way. The actually act of “thanking” someone goes even further. What a lovely reminder of a basic we grew up with but somehow as adults move away from. Thank you!

Excellent encouragement here. I know that I am battling a negative attitude right now, and adding some thankfulness will help overcome that!

Thanks! Often we’re so “busy,” we don’t take the time to enjoy the people in our lives or the wonderful things they do for us on a consistent basis. Thanks for the reminder to be thankful in and for all things.

The sad truth is that we are too quick to express what we do not like, and slow to express what we do. My husband and I are keeping journals for each other. We write down the mundane tasks we see each other do every day and express thanks. It’s been a great exercise. Thank you for your post!
