I have been looking for years for a fun and easy kids advent calendar. Now that they are teenagers I have finally found one! We made these at our ladies gathering at church. I thought they were so cute.
Everything you need is listed below.
Supplies:
A 24 mini muffin tin
Pretty Christmas scrapbook paper
A large circle puncher to make 1.5″ circles
Magnetic Sheets
Elmers glue
Black Sharpie
Green , red, silver or gold pompoms, stickers, and or buttons for embellishments
Small items or strips of paper to put in each circle
Scissors
1. Begin by cutting your 24 squares from your scrapbook paper.
2. Next take your circle cutter and punch out 24 circles in a different paper. You can already have the numbers printed on them with a fancy font or you can use number stamps, or even a sharpie to write the numbers on.
3. Next you glue the circles on the squares with just a little bit of glue.
4.Take your magnetic sheets and cut them into small rectangles that will fit the backs of the squares. They will have sticky stuff on the back. Put a small strip at the top and bottom on the back of each square.
5. You can then embellish the squares with the pompoms, stickers, etc.
6. You can now fill them with little trinkets or pieces of paper with special activities written on them.
7. If you want to you can put a piece of wood under the top rim of the tin and take a nail and make two holes at the top. Then you can thread pretty ribbon at the top.
I hope you and your kids have a special time getting ready for Christmas day!!

I was looking for something to do for an Advent calendar. I haven’t been able to find the ones I usually get for my kids so was thinking maybe I should just make them. So bookmarking this as a possibility thanks ;). Stopping by from SITS.
