I love trying to find new uses for old items, especially if they’re useful. The term upcycle is a new term for re-purposing. I couldn’t wait to figure out what I was going to make with my cereal box, Parmesan cheese container, Costco cashews container, and a Hillshire farm turkey container. Are you wondering what you could possibly do with these? Well I am going to tell you!
I used this container to store crayons. You could also use them for storing thumbtacks, or paper clips. The ideas are really endless. |
I thought this Parmesan cheese container would be perfect for storing baking soda. I keep it by the sink and use it for scrubbing hard to clean pots and pans. The holes make it easy to sprinkle just a little bit. I just added a chalk board label from Martha Stewart. They are sold at Staples. Here are some more ideas for chalkboard labels. |
I used the old cereal box to make this recipe holder. I keep it right on the side of my fridge for easy access. You can also use them for super cute drawer dividers. Hop on over to iHeart Organizing for the directions. I can’t wait to make these! |
These Costco containers can be used for storing things like flour or brown sugar. You can see the details for the pantry containers over at Lewisville Love. This site has many more great ideas for upcycling!
I would love to hear what you like to re-purpose or upcycle.

What great ideas! I really like using the lunchmeat tub to hold crayons. Anytime I don’t use a whole sheet of paper, I cut the part I didn’t use and save it for when I need to write a little note.

That’s a great idea! I’m going to do that.
