I have been doing a lot of thinking about my blog lately. I think it’s good to clean house once in awhile and reassess things. I recently attended an online conference given by iBloom, titled Learn How to Position Yourself as the Go- To Person to Your Ideal Customer. You can read more about it here. I learned so much from that conference! I decided I needed to do a little bit of re-branding. audience? Who was my target audience?
I have been toying with the idea of changing my focus for a few months. The conference gave me the confidence to proceed. I have always loved crafts and decorating, but also wanted to incorporate my desire to help other moms living with chronic illness. I have been living with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia for the past twenty years. I was diagnosed about ten months after I got married. I also had a baby at the same time. I will be writing more on these topics in the future. It has been quite a challenging journey learning to live with illness while raising a family. I definitely have not done it perfectly. I have shed many tears, prayed many prayers and reached out for help. Reaching out is still something that is hard for me, but I am learning.
The blog will still include simple crafts and recipes. My crafts and recipes will be simple for the most part. It will cater to the mom who doesn’t have a lot of energy or time. It will also include resources for moms dealing with a chronic illness or any other setback. I will still have book reviews too and share a bit of personal stories and encouragement.
More than anything I want this blog to be full of support, encouragement, and creativity. We need each other. Will you join me?
I would love to know in the comments if this is something that would interest you. Can’t wait to hear from you. I will also be sending out a survey shortly.

I understand the need to clean and restructure. I rebranded about 8 months ago, changing my blog name and moving from Blogger to WP. It was a challenge, but I haven’t regretted it. Are you changing your name also, or just the niche?

I am planning on moving to WordPress sometime in the next month. I have been putting it off for so long! I already had to change my name slightly because I let my domain name expire and somebody bought it. I was so mad with myself. I’m hoping since I’m still posting about the home my current name will work.

I think it sounds lovely and I will be excited to see what’s to come. This will relate to more than realize. As a mom with a child who lives with Goldenhar Syndrome/Hemifacial Microsomia I struggle to keep up with Dr. appointments, my fledgling blog and a full time job. Sometimes just knowing your not alone in your struggles is priceless. Wishing you the BEST!

I think everyone (or every blog) needs to adapt and change every once in a while – people change, audiences change and so you have to – it’s definitely a lot of work but good luck – sounds like you know exactly what you want to do and how youplan on getting here!
