I was thrilled when Caring Crate contacted me about reviewing a subscription box for the chronically ill. I was given a free box to review, but all opinions are my own. I know subscription boxes are all the rage right now, but I have never heard of one geared toward the chronically ill. Going to the mailbox is sometimes the highlight of my day! (Sad, right?) Wouldn’t it be great to get one of these in the mail instead of just ads and bills? I love getting surprises in the mail.
My caring crate came in this nice box. I was so excited to see what was inside.
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my box and found these items!
There was a nice variety of items in the box. There was a book, cross stitch, sea salts and a snack! All of the things a girl needs to cheer up and relax. You can order a one, three, or six month subscription. I like the fact that it has choices so you’re not stuck with a year long subscription. One month is $40.54 (approximately) The website has it in Canadian money because that is where it’s based. Each Caring Crate box you receive will have four or five full size products for your health and well being. These boxes are perfect for people dealing with chronic illness or someone who just needs to be cheered up and encouraged. I know many of us can’t get out as much as we’d like to. It’s nice to have something come to us.
I love to read so I was excited to see a book in my package. I am a worrier so I felt this book was helpful with seeing where I had control and where I didn’t have control. It helps to get the thoughts out of my mind and onto paper.
Here’s what one of the pages look like.
This is one of the quote pages. I loved the colors and quotes throughout the book.
The kit also came with a treat. I love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate! It did have sugar in it, but I liked the fact that it had all natural local ingredients. It was delicious!
Here are the bath salts that came in the kit. As you can see they are almost gone! I forgot to take a picture before I used them. i love soaking in mineral or Epsom salts. They help me relax and sooth my muscles. They had a lavender scent. It had a bit of a strong smell and I am sensitive to strong smells. When it was mixed with the water though the smell was perfect!
I did not get a picture of the cross stitch up close. I love doing cross stitch, but sometimes my hands won’t allow it. I decided to gift it to a friend who I knew would appreciate it.
I can honestly say that i enjoyed all the goodies in the box.If you or someone you know struggles with chronic illness why not cheer them or yourself up with a Caring Crate subscription box for the chronically ill.
