Do you ever have trouble getting your kids to take vitamins or supplements that you know will be beneficial? Did you know that there are children’s powdered vitamins and supplements on the market? I was so excited when I was asked to review Mega Food children’s products.
Even though my kids are teenagers I still have a hard time convincing them to take care of themselves! I’ve tried many times to get them into the habit of taking vitamins. They take them for a while and then they stop. I’m guilty of the same thing. What I love about the Mega Food products are the fact that they’re made from things like organic turmeric, brown rice, carrots and farm fresh fruits. It is unsweetened and easy on the stomach. I know I tend to get stomach upset once in awhile from vitamins. I was happy that it easy to digest. I also like the fact that you can mix it into basically whatever you’re eating.
Some of the foods they can be easily mixed with are:
- Applesauce
- Yogurt
- Pudding
- oatmeal
- Juice
- Smoothies
- Pancakes
- No-bake dessert
- Fruit toppings
The Kids Daily Multi supports healthy growth and development of children five and older. They also promote healthy gums, bones, teeth, muscles, and connective tissues. The turmeric and fruit give protective antioxidants. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
Kids Daily B-Centered vitamins contain all of the B vitamins and a few others. They are also made with organic brown rice, bacopa, (bacopa is a plant that may help deal with stress and anxiety) and broccoli. It also includes chamomile and lemon balm which may help support mental focus, cognitive function and a sense of calmness. My son has attention deficient disorder and anxiety from time to time. I’m going to see if this will help him and me as well.*
Kids Daily Immune was the last children’s powdered vitamins and supplements product I tried. consists of organic oranges, organic blueberry, cranberry, astragalus, elderberry and echinacea. It may help to promote and strengthen a healthy immune system. The organic oranges, blueberries, , and cranberries provide deep pigmented natural phytonutrients for additional antioxidant protection.*
My son loves smoothies, so I decided to try the Kids Daily Multi in it. I put cucumbers, celery, frozen bananas, peaches, frozen raspberries, a half cup of yogurt, and a scoop of vitamins. I was surprised he let me put it in because I have been known to sneak green veggies like spinach into his smoothie and he has noticed! He said he didn’t even taste the vitamins. A win! I even have started to put them in my smoothies even though they’re advertised for children.
II love trying new things in my smoothies and now I have one more nutritious thing to add. Have you ever tried children’s powdered vitamins and supplements? What do you like to add to your smoothies?
