Do you want to learn how to re-purpose cardboard boxes into something beautiful? I had cardboard boxes laying around my house and I didn’t know what to do with them. Aldi and Costco have a great variety of sizes and shapes just for the taking. I also had bought a bunch of decorative duct and washi tape that I was saving for when inspiration hit me. If you’re looking for some pretty designs of washi tape. Blitsy has some on sale and at full
Here is one of the boxes that I had from Costco. I thought it would be the perfect size for my bedroom closet for purse accessories.
I just started wrapping the box starting from the top. The bottom of the boxes weren’t done since no one would see them, but you could decorate them. Here they are with the pretty rose duct tape and purple floral tape I had bought. I love anything pink or with roses on it! The odd shaped box is from Aldi. My nightstand has a narrow drawer that is hard to store things in. I knew this box would be the perfect size! A wider washi tape was used, but you can use any size. I keep my lotion and earbuds in them. The labels came from The Dollar Tree.
Next I put my purse accessories in the other box. I have two purse organizers in different sizes and an extra key fab.
This big cardboard box I found at Costco, and I knew it would be perfect for something.
One day it hit me! It could be a solution to one of my problems. I didn’t have any place to put my boots when they were wet. The wheels started turning. This would be the perfect box! How was I going to keep the bottom of the box waterproof? That’s when the answer came to me. I could use an oversize garbage bag in the bottom. I didn’t even have to adhere it. The garbage bag was just folded in half and it stayed put!
I had some pretty pinkish red duct tape with a nice chevron design. It took me all of 15 minutes to wrap the box. Just be careful to keep the tape as straight as possible so it’s smooth. It’s been working perfect for my boots!
Decorative tape is one of my favorite crafting supplies! I’m glad I have found ways to re-purpose cardboard boxes into beautiful organizers. Have you ever re-purposed cardboard boxes? I would love to hear your ideas! If you would like to see other things I have recycled with washi tape check out these posts here and here.
