I’m sure a lot of us are on our feet a lot during the day. I find cooling peppermint foot spray to be very beneficial. My feet tend to be sore all day long even if I’m not on them much. When I’m dealing with exhaustion they tend to hurt a lot more, especially when I’m trying to fall asleep. Cooling peppermint foot spray is a great way to soothe sore muscles. I also spray it on my legs. I love the cooling sensation that happens. Some research has shown that it may help with nerve pain and joint conditions as well.
It can be very expensive though. I’ve bought it from Bath and Body Works and other places and it was around $10 or more. I knew I could do better than that. All it takes are a few ingredients and a spray bottle. I wanted to get a pink bottle, but green was all I could find. The directions are fairly simple.
Peppermint Foot Spray Recipe:
6 oz. distilled water
6 oz. rubbing alcohol (you could also use witch hazel)
15-20 drops peppermint essential oil
Directions:
I used a 12 oz bottle. If you are using a smaller or larger bottle you can adjust the amounts accordingly.
First, I poured the distilled water in the bottle and then the rubbing alcohol. I used a Pyrex measuring cup that had ounces marked on it. Four ounces equals a 1/2 cup. I took the spray nozzle to gently mix the two liquids together. I then put 15-20 drops of peppermint essential oil into the bottle and give it another swirl. This also makes a great gift to give someone.
I made a label using the Avery oval shapes #22814. If you go to the Avery website there’s a place to enter this number and it takes you straight to the templates.
Spraying cooling peppermint foot spray is part of my nightly routine. I hope you benefit from the cooling and soothing effects of this spray. Do you use peppermint spray?
