I have really been into podcasts lately. They are a treasure trove of information and inspiration. I am also enjoying listening to Periscope. I will write more about Periscope in the future. I love listening to them while folding laundry, cooking, and washing dishes. There are also days that I experience extreme exhaustion. This causes me to rest a lot. I have trouble focusing on a book or reading a website. I love the fact that I can close my eyes and can be taken to another place. I know audio books can do this too, but they can be expensive unless you check them out at the library. I learn so many things and am so encouraged. Since my kids are in high school and college I have the freedom to listen uninterrupted! I wanted to share with you five of my favorite podcasts for moms and business.
1.The Inspired to Action podcast: Kat is the author of this podcast. She loves encouraging mothers for the most challenging job. Her topics range from Preparing for the Teen Years, Building a Beautiful Home from the Inside Out, Learning Differences, and What is Important. I love the sound of Kat’s voice. It’s so soothing and encouraging! She also has many resources that are free and a few paid ones. she has topics such as Maximize Your Mornings, and goal setting. You can listen to her podcasts here.
2.Cultivating the Lovely: Mackenzie Monroe runs this podcast. I love the title for her podcast! She also has a blog called Bold Turquoise that you should be sure to check out. She has had so many wonderful guests on the subjects of organization, morning time, a generous heart, and many more. I think I found her on Stitcher. I’ll talk more about this later. You can listen here.
3.God Centered Mom: Heather Macfadyen runs this podcast and also her blog with the same name. She talks about the hardships of motherhood with encouraging topics such as What Triggers Your Angry Reaction and Create a Home of Belonging and Becoming. She also has bonus topics where she discusses things like music and movies. I always enjoy and look forward to what she has to say.
4.Power of Moms Radio-A Gathering Place for Deliberate Moms: Saren and April head up this blog and podcast. They talk about technology and your children, taking care of your body through healthy eating, and self esteem for your children. Some of their paid options include live events and e-courses. You can find this podcast here.
5.Brilliant Business Moms: This podcast and blog is by two sisters, Sarah and Beth Anne. Their motto is “Helping Brilliant Women Grow there Business on the Side”. I just love this podcast! I have learned so many things to help improve my blog and social media strategies. I just recently attended one of their free webinars about Pinterest and it was phenomenal! There was such a wealth of information. I find myself going back and relistening to their podcasts because I didn’t get it all in the first time. I wish I would of found them sooner. You can find them here.
There are a few places that you can listen to these podcasts. You can go straight to the blog and listen there, you can download them on iTunes, or you can listen through Stitcher. I usually listen through Stitcher because I don’t have an iPhone. Stitcher also comes as an app, so you can listen on the go. You can browse for different topics and episodes. If you start a podcast and aren’t able to finish it just click on the “read it later” button and it will pick up where you stopped.
I hope you come to love these podcasts as much as I do. What are some of your favorite podcasts? I love finding new ones!

I enjoy listening to podcasts, too. It’s where I’ve learned a lot of frugal living tips and financial tips. I’m looking forward to your post about Periscope. I want to dive in and do it, however, I like to read about others’ opinions first.
