I posted yesterday about my vacation to Ocean City, New Jersey. It always takes me a few days to get use to being home. I love being by the water and there is no water where I live. I also love the relaxed lazy days. The biggest decision I had to make was what time I was going to head down to the beach with my book or what I was going to order off the menu for dinner. These are such tough decisions! I thought of a few ways to bring a little bit of my vacation home with me.
1. Finish a book you started reading on vacation. I was reading a book that took place on Cape Cod and was not finished yet. When reading it at home, I can almost envision myself with my feet in the sand.
2. Sit out on your deck or porch in the evening. The reason why I like to do it in the evening is because it’s cooler and a little more quiet.
3. Make some refreshing ice-tea. Nothing says summer and relaxing like a ice cold glass of tea.
4. Listen to ocean waves. I have them downloaded on my kindle fire. I just pop in my ear phones while I’m on the deck and am transported to the beach!
5. Make a special treat that you enjoyed while on vacation. I will be making chocolate covered pretzels. This of course you don’t want to do daily!
I hope this gives you some new ways to bring the relaxation home with you! Any other ideas?
